The Alan Turing Institute and The University of Liverpool’s Distributed Algorithms CDT have joined to host a new opportunity for doctoral students. The industry taster pilot event will take place on Thursday 14th July 2022 at the The Spine in Liverpool.
The event offers students an opportunity to meet with colleagues from the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL) who are one of the Liverpool CDTs non-academic partners who invest annually in research and development activity.
The event will facilitate student collaborative work involving an industry challenge and enable student and industry networking. At the event, students will form teams and work together to understand high level challenges and prepare a presentation to be delivered the day on their potential approach or solution. This event will offer students the opportunity to develop skills and experience in working with industry, leadership, collaborative working practices and presentation experience.
Expenses (inc. overnight stay if appropriate) should be afforded through your individual budgets. Successful registrants will attend the event for free and lunch and refreshments will be catered for on the day.
To apply to attend this event please complete this registration form by noon on Wednesday 29 June. Outcomes will be communicated by the end of June.
